1957年生まれ、福島県いわき市出身

叔父がトランペットを持っていた為、幼少期から身近にあり遊びながら親しむ。

その後、中学のブラスバンド部で自分のトランペットを買ってもらい、のめりこむ。

当時はブラスロックが流行っていて、BS＆Tやシカゴ、チェィス、それにツェッペリンなどの、ハードロックをガンガンに聴いていたが、ある時ぱったり電気サウンドに飽きてしまい、レコード屋で偶然に買ったジャッキーマクリーンを聞き、生音に衝撃を受け、JAZZに目覚める。

高校時代にはラグビーの部活後ジャズ喫茶通いが日課となり、毎日終電までレコードを聴きあさり、レスターボウイの虜になる。

そんな日々の中、日野皓正さん、近藤等則さんのコンサートに行ったことで、自分もプロになろうと決意する。

20歳で東京に上京し、どうしたらプロになれるかわからず梅津和時さんに会いに行く。その後、梅津和時さん、原田依幸さんのリハーサルオーケストラに参加したのち、生活向上委員会大管弦楽団でデビューする。当時はろくに吹けないくせに、ライブハウスに出させてもらってました。ラッパ1本で生計を立てようと、キャバレーやホテルのショーバンドなども経験する。楽譜の読み方は吹奏楽で知っていたつもりでしたが、キャバレーでは全く吹けなかった。プロは譜面の読み方が違った。キャバレーの中で、プロの音の出し方から楽譜の読み方などの基礎を教わる。

その後はいろいろな方に声掛けしてもらい、多種多様なバンドや、ドラマ、映画、演劇等の音楽に参加し、忙しさがピークになるが、自分の音楽に集中するため、参加させてもらっていたバンド（じゃがたら、渋谷バンドなど）を全部一気に辞めて、自分のバンドFIVESをはじめる。その後は、自己のバンドでオリジナルをメインに活動をすることになり、今に至る。

●Profile●

Born in 1957, Iwaki City, Fukushima Prefecture

His uncle owned a trumpet, so he grew up familiar with it while playing with it.

After that, he got his junior high school brass band club to buy him a trumpet and became hooked.

Brass rock was popular at the time, and I was listening to hard rock such as BS&T, Chicago, Chase, and Zeppelin, but one day I suddenly got tired of the electric sound, so I bought Jackie McLean by chance at a record store. Listen to it, be shocked by the raw sound, and wake up to JAZZ.

During his high school days, his daily routine was to go to jazz cafes after playing rugby club activities, listening to records until the last train every day, and becoming obsessed with Lester Bowie.

During those days, he went to concerts by Terumasa Hino and Toshinori Kondo, which made him decide to become a professional himself.

When he was 20 years old, he moved to Tokyo and went to meet Kazutoki Umezu, not knowing how to become a professional. After that, he participated in the rehearsal orchestra of Kazutoki Umezu and Yoriyuki Harada, and then made his debut with the Seikatsu Kaizen Committee Grand Orchestra. Even though I couldn't play very well at the time, I was allowed to perform at live houses. Hoping to make a living with just his trumpet, he tried his hand at cabaret and hotel show bands. I thought I knew how to read music in a wind band, but I couldn't play it at all in a cabaret. Professionals read music differently. In the cabaret, students are taught basics such as how to produce a professional sound and how to read music scores.

After that, I got approached by various people and participated in music for various bands, dramas, movies, plays, etc., and although my busy schedule reached its peak, I decided to participate in order to concentrate on my own music. I quit all the bands I was in (Jagatara, Shibuya Band, etc.) and started my own band, FIVES. After that, he started working with his own band, focusing on original music, and continues to do so to this day.
